When the winners of the Sweepstakes Awards are honored at tonight’s Keystone Banquet, the audience will see something different — videos from six of the seven honored newspapers.
“We wanted to embrace the changing industry,” said Melinda Condon, executive director of the Pennsylvania News Media Association Foundation.
In the past, editors from the sweepstakes-winning newspapers gave speeches.

Sweepstakes awards are given to news organizations in seven circulation divisions. Winners are determined by the number of points awarded for first and second place and honorable mention.
Videos will also be shown from the winner of the first-place Distinguished Visual Award, Stephen Jiwanmall, of the Bucks County Courier Times, and the Calkins Media Distinguished Video Award, Gwen Titley, of the Beaver County Times.
The sweepstakes winners are:
Division I: Philadelphia Daily News
Division II: Reading Eagle
Division III: Citizens’ Voice, Wilkes-Barre
Division IV: The Indiana Gazette
Division V: Philadelphia City Paper
Division VI: Central Penn Business Journal, Harrisburg
Division VII: Bethlehem Press
The awards banquet begins at 6:30 p.m. in Salons C, D, E and F of the Wyndham Gettysburg.
